“There are always two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer.”
Beauty can be seen in all things, seeing and composing the beauty is what separates the snapshot from the photograph
I have been interested and busy with photography for quite some years now but it’s only in the last 16 months or so that I decided to take it to the next level and make it my second profession.
For almost 7 years now I am blessed with a Golden Labrador called Buddy and I can assure you that each day has just been amazing with him - he is the typical Labrador: eat > walk > play + Sleep!
Besides being my best friends Kris and Johan are also the artists in ‘The Sketch’. Over the years we have been on quite some amazing adventures – these pictures show just how amazing it all is!
After a successful second visit I just had to go back to this wonderfull place and meet my Cretan friends.

Consider it a city trip with the best and most friendly guide one can have in the city of Sofia, Bulgaria.
Early 2013 I decided to leave for a short break to the country of the Port Wines... check it out!
WHO IS CHRIS BRANDERS
I was born in the city of Tienen in Belgium on the 14th of August 1969 which makes me 27 with 16 years of experience. After spending about 23 years in Tienen I met my future wife, got marroed and moved to a town next to Tienen called Hoegaarden… I am quite sure that I now have the attention of all beer-lovers!
Now, about 20 years later I am still in Hoegaarden… single but with an amazing golden Labrador called Buddy!
After finishing my studies Informatics and Accounting I enjoyed the Belgian army for one year… as a bar-keeper! After my army-year I had a couple of different jobs and after a couple of months I joined DHL Worldwide Express… at that time American but meanwhile a German company (DP-DHL). I started doing translation work but quickly moved-up to the IT department as a developer for Windows applications and communication networks.
Early 2000 I decided to move to the European Financial Shared Service Center which is located in Maastricht, The Netherlands. There I started as Development Manager and later took on the role of Technical Infrastructure Manager. For the last 5 or 6 years I am in a Project- and Product- management role… let’s see what the future brings…
Most of the time outside of the workplace I spend with photography; from the actual composition of the picture to the post-production and the final publishing. This also means travelling to interesting places, attending trainings, reading and trying… a lot of trying... For the last year or so I am actually preparing to start as photographer as a second profession – let’s see where that journey takes me!
Besides photography I try to ensure that my Labrador stays in-shape… that means a lot of walks in the beautiful nature around my place.
If, after all of this, there is still some time left I always enjoy watching a good Movie on my own private movie theatre… which features a screen of more than 2m in width and an awesome sound system– whoehoe!!!
If I have to describe the goal in my life at the moment I would say: ‘Enjoy life to the Fullest – Try to make the most of each day and keep a positive mindset even if I find myself in a challenging time’. While working / executing my Mission Statement I do hope to meet my new (soul) mate – walking the dog and watching movies is so much nicer with two…
